This panorama, taken by James Blakeway, captures the fan excitement at Arizona Stadium, as the Wildcats battle a Pac-12 in-state conference opponent in front of a capacity crowd. Arizona Stadium was built in 1928 with only 7,000 seats and has grown over the years to accommodate more than 56,000 plus fans. It is surrounded by the Santa Catalina Mountains, campus and the Tucson city skyline. It's a combination of old style charm and modern day conveniences. One of Arizona's newest game day traditions, known as the Wildcat Walk, begins two hours before kickoff as the team heads south on foot toward Arizona Stadium along with the marching band, cheerleaders and mascots.
